New Delhi. Forget the usual off spin and leg spin! Kejriwal made an announcement yesterday in a press conference that his art of ‘U-Turn’ing will soon be available for Indian spinners who are performing inconsistently or have been performing poorly. He shall soon be opening a bowling institute for such bowlers to learn this innovative bowling style.
“Having made numerous U-Turns at so many points in my political career, I realized a few days back that it could be of great help for Indian cricketers, not just for the full time spinners, but also for the part-time spin bowlers”, says Kejriwal.
Players, ranging from Test skipper Virat Kohli to part time spinners like Suresh Raina, and even the recently accused bowler for his illegal bowling action Shikhar Dhawan; have shown interest in joining the institute.
The ICC is yet to take a look at the bowling action of U-Turn technique to deem it to be fair.
Kejriwal has named the bowling technique as “Reverse Spin”, where the ball is said to turn by 180 degrees.
At one hand where Congressmen and BSP have shown fair amount of interest in making investments for Kejriwal’s bowling institute, BJP on the other hand have highly criticized the entire idea and have demanded for it to be completely trashed.
Education Minister Smriti Irani was miffed and demanded Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation from the post of Delhi’s CM. “Now doesn’t the 180 degree spin defy bowling logic? If a ball pitches and makes a 180 degree turn, wouldn’t it again drop at the area before the first bounce, thereby making it a dead ball? Being an education minister, I do not understand what nonsense Kejriwal wants the Indian cricketers to learn, similar to his other nonsensical ideas proposed in Delhi. I demand his resignation”, said Smriti Irani to our FN reporter.
