New Delhi. In a very reformist move, the Government of India has decided to introduce an Adjourn from Home policy for the dissenting MPs of the Congress to spare them the trouble of even coming to the parliament. This move is a variation of the work from home policy followed by most top organizations in order to enhance employee productivity and morale. The parliament which continues to be in a deadlock over the National Herald summons can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
The MP’s will be digitally connected to the parliament via satellite connectivity and will be projected on a giant screen for the LS speaker to see. It will follow the same pattern followed on The Newshour but with less amount of participants. We spoke to the brainchild behind this move, “We were looking at the congress MPs who had to come all the way to the parliament only to head back home about 15 min later when the parliament got adjourned thanks to their protests. So we decided to spare them the trouble of traveling away from their home and hence started this Adjourn from Home scheme enabling them to do the job they are so skilled in from the comforts of their home. It will save them enough time to come up with new examples of Modi government’s intolerance and prepare for the National Herald case. Thanks to this move we would even be ensuring an emission cut in Delhi as about half of it all might be credited to the heavy movement of the VVIP MPs”.
This move though isn’t been taken kindly by the MPs as staying home would mean no access to the parliament canteen and hence would rob them of a sumptuous meal at about Rs 11. Some Congress MPs are even alleging that it is just a ploy of the government of keeping them away and just as the session would start, the speaker would proceed to mute them like its done on prime-time debates and sometimes the satellite link might mysteriously disconnect leaving only the BJP MP’s connected.
