After the Delhi Govt rule to run vehicles with odd and even numbers on alternate days, Delhi Metro today announced a new rule to limit the number of farts in metro trains.
Delhi Metro chief Mangu Singh today announced in a press statement. All people who commute daily in Delhi Metro will be able to fart only on alternate days. This rule is based on their birth date. For example, if a person is born on odd date, he/she can fart only on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays and vice versa.
The National Green Tribunal appreciated it as a positive move towards a clean environment. Although Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed his discomfort due to his chronic gastric problem.
As per the new rule, three consecutive fart incidents will lead to suspension of their metro card permanently. Delhi Metro in their statement said that this is a move to declare metro “No Fart Zone”.
The new odd-even rule of Delhi Metro had mixed reactions on Facebook and Twitter. Baba Ramdev tweeted that this will affect his Chooran business while Rahul Gandhi said that farting is a birth right of a common man.
