Man enters a new friend zone called “Special Friend Zone”

Hyderabad. Akhilesh (who insists to call him ‘Akele’sh), a 26 year old software engineer from Hyderabad, despite numerous attempts to come out of friend zone finally lands in a zone, worst than the former, “Special Friend Zone”. Talking about his life , Akhil said “If friend zone was a country, I would have got a PR by now. Seems like I’ve got a promotion this time around. I am promoted to a ‘Special Friend’ status”.

"Stay in your Special Friend Zone limits"

“Stay in your (Special Friend Zone) limits”

Akhil recently met a new girl on Tinder and things were going smooth. She started laughing to his not so funny jokes, he was called cute (he failed to realized this was a hint. Your crush never calls you cute) and they were texting all the time. She already said she was committed to someone else, but there was no sign of him. “He must be like the girlfriend (i = √-1) I maintained during my engineering days”, he thought to himself. She took him to shopping, movies, food festivals and what not. There was a ray of hope, he felt excited until the girl shared the pic saying, “That one person you have in your life, who’s more than a friend but not your love. Yet you’re in a constant fear to loose him/her”, on Facebook and tagged him.

Shattered Akhil took out his frustration on FB. As he was done with the first stage(venting out on FB), out of denial, he called her and asked if she was interested in going to a movie. “Who else is coming?”, was her reaction. Don’t know when and how but Akhil recalls that she got emotional and started saying “You really mean a lot me”, “I owe you so much”, but never forgot to add “Friend” at least once in a sentence. While she was about to say, “I never felt this safe even with my FATHE” that’s when Akhil disconnected the call. “Special friend zone” was better than “Father Zone” he thought to himself.

Demotivated Akhil thought coming out of the friend zone was as impossible as Rohit Sharma scoring well outside India. “I will never get closer to another won”, that’s when his phone buzzed with a new notification “Congratulations! You’ve got a new match on Tinder”. Just to make sure he doesn’t mess around this time, he started following the instructions on the sites like Menxp, and even subscribed to a Youtube channel. “To come out of friendzone is to not be there” was his new wall paper.
