FIR lodged after Rahul Gandhi’s footwear go missing, found later on a pedestal at party workers house

New Delhi: An FIR was lodged at Hauz-Khas police station today after Rahul Gandhi’s footwear went missing after returning back to Delhi from his visit to Chennai. The footwear was last seen in a video clip where former Union Minister Narayana Swamy was seen carrying them around.

“Yes, we have lodged a ‘missing footwear’ report early morning today and our police force is out on the streets of Delhi with a pic of the chappals. We assure you that the footwear will be located in no time,” said Delhi Police Commissoner.

Congress Party workers were out on the streets in full force hoping to retrieve the lost  chappal, “Its Soniaji’s birthday today and we can’t have Rahul Baba walking barefoot. It was his favorite pair of chappals and he is very sentimental about them. We will hunt them out wherever they are, even if we have to bunk Parliament,” said a senior congress leader, who was busy pasting ‘Missing Chappal’ poster on a wall in a busy Chandni Chowk street.

The footwear was located after sniffer dogs led the cops to the house of a congress party worker. Ajay Jha, a party worker and unofficial spokesperson for the party, admitted to having taken the footwear and later apologized to the Congress Vice President. “When we entered Mr. Jha’s house we found him genuflect and placed on a pedestal in front of him were Rahul Gandhi’s footwear. We are questioning Mr. Jha and a report on this issue will be out soon,” said a police officer.

Meanwhile, there was ruckus in the Parliament and it was adjourned again after Congress party alleged that the BJP was behind the disappearance of Rahul Gandhi’s footwear. “They (BJP) want that Rahulji shouldn’t attend Parliament and grill them on issues concerning the common man and that is why they are resorting to such tactics,” said a senior Congress leader as screams of tanashahi nahi chalegi echoed across the Parliament hall.
