Kings XI supporters ask BCCI to ban Kings XI like CSK and RR to avoid further embarrassment

Mohali: Fed up with the string of losses, Kings XI Punjab supporters have requested BCCI to ban the team like CSK and RR were banned, to avoid further embarrassment in the IPL. Last year, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned from IPL for 2 years by the Lodha committee.

Kings XI Punjab finished last during IPL 8 and are again occupying the last position this year despite stiff competition from Mumbai. They have played 4 matches and were beaten very comprehensively in 3 of them.

A group of Kings XI fans met the members of Lodha committee as well as BCCI President Shashank Manohar to make this request. BCCI hasn’t yet commented on this though as per the sources, the request is likely to be turned down since they need a side against which AB de Villiers can break his own record for the fastest 100.

Speaking to Faking News, a long time supporter of Kings XI, Sandeep Singh said, “What is the point of them playing in the IPL yaar? It is just a waste of time and money. When we know they are going to finish last then just assume they are the 8th placed side and conduct the tournament among the other 7. This daily humiliation of watching them lose so easily match after match is really depressing.”

“We were used to being the also-rans of IPL but then 2014 happened and we topped the table, which gave us hope that we have a strong side but then, it was back to routine. Now we are sure that there is no way we are ever winning the IPL so better ban this side from IPL and introduce a more competitive side”, Sandeep added.

Another frustrated fan Manjeet Singh told Faking News, “They are looking for alternate venues for Maharashtra matches, conduct them in Mohali Ji. Hum is ground pe kar bhi kya rahe hain? Better give it to them. For 9 years, I have come to see them play here and then get depressed at the conclusion. Worst part if that even wine shops are closed by the time the match gets over so we can’t even drown our sorrows in alcohol.”

When we asked why didn’t they ask for a ban last year when they lost 11 out of 14, Manjeet said, “Bhai till last year Delhi daredevils gave us hope that they may beat us to the last place but this year, even they have betrayed us.”
