Mumbai. The renowned Anchor of a primetime show ‘The Newshour Debate’, who believes in adjucticating fast-track judgments regarding any national or social issue, was spotted wearing a smartwatch on his right wrist during the show.
Arnab Goswami, who runs on the risk of oxygen intake deficiency whenever he is on air, was asked by his fitness trainer to wear the watch to track whether he is inhaling required amount of oxygen in a day or not. Though the watch served its ulterior motive, it recorded other bodily observations as well.
Arnab, who is often seen holding a pen not to jot down points on paper, but to finger pen point other panelists, was believed to give a count of 100 hand movements per minute.
Also, his lips were seen moving faster than the speed of alleged anti-national slogans raised by JNU students. His lips movement gave a count of approx. 500 movements per minute, out of which saying, “The nation wants to know” multiple times accounted for 250.
On having a word with CEO of the smartwatch company, he said to our reporter, “We wanted to test our product under extreme circumstances. We tried to approach Arnab before releasing this watch but he was busy criticizing. Nevertheless I’m happy that watch didn’t crash while recording his movements. This means it has successfully passed the quality test.”
Meenakshi Gayika, who was amongst the show panelists also confirmed this news.
“I was invited to the show to speak against the motion but fortunately was provided with a mic that didn’t work properly. So in order to pass time I was observing Arnab’s body language”, said Gayika.
The Leftists are seen sloganeering against Arnab as he preferred to wear the watch on his right wrist and not on the left one.
