United Nations to adopt Even Odd formula to resolve conflicts

From UN HQ. United Nations General assembly would pass a resolution to implement “Even Odd” Formula to resolve some of the conflicts. Speaking at News Conference at United Nations Headquarters, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said, “After successful usage of this formula by Delhi government to reduce pollution levels, we’ve decided to use this formula to try to solve some of the conflicts world over”. He further added, “We at UN were very impressed with the way people of Delhi behaved during this period. This gives us hope people all over the world would welcome such a move to address issues”.

Explaining Odd Even logic.

Explaining Odd Even logic.

He explained the formula usage, “Initially this formula would be applied to address simpler issues. For instance, the question around ‘Glass half full or half empty’ has been addressed by this formula. On odd Days, glass is half full. On even days glass is half empty. Also ‘chicken first or egg first’ would now categorized as on odd days chicken first on even days egg would be first”.

Sources at UN have told your newspaper that most member countries have welcomed this move. UN secretary general has reviewed this with all the permanent members and they have agreed to pass this resolution. Other countries are also supportive.

Once this resolution is passed, additional usage of this formula would be as follows-

1. North Korea would be allowed to do Nuclear activities only on Even days. On odd days, they would not be allowed to perform any activities. If they do, they would face sanctions.
2. Some of the middle eastern conflicts would be next on agenda.

From Indian perspective, sources have told your newspaper that Indian government expects Pakistani Prime Minister may propose similar formula for Kashmir conflict. But it remains to be seen if Pakistani military has given it’s support to it. Reacting to this development Indian government spokesman have told, “We’re still evaluating proposal. We would discuss this before taking stand on it”. AAP has criticized Modi for not supporting UN idea. AAP spokesman have told, “Modi does not want to support good work done by Delhi CM Kejriwal ji. He has always been jealous of this success”.

In another development, Nobel Peace Prize committee has announced, “We would be using even/odd formula for this year’s prize. The prize would be given jointly to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai. On Even days, Mr. Kejriwal would be winner. On Odd days, Mr. Rai would be winner and on Sunday Mr. Sisodia would be winner”.

Clearly even-odd formula has taken the world by storm. Credit is due to AAP for this innovative idea. How much success this formula generates remains to be seen.
