Ravi Shashtri’s reply to Maxwell statements of ‘Indian players being selfish for personal milestones': Asks “What about our bowlers?”

Ravi Shashtri was quite upset and taken aback by Glenn Maxwell’s statement  that “Some of the Indian players are selfish for personal milestones”. He initially did not agree to comment on the statement but after some repeated probing by Fakingnews correspondent Bonobos Ravi agreed for a short conversation. He acquired a motivational guru like posture and said calmly.

“Won’t tolerate any insult to my bowlers. They too have personal ambitions”

“Maxwell only sees one side of the coin. He might be right in saying that Indian batsmen sometimes do become selfish for personal milestones but in most of the cases our bowlers make up for that. Our bowlers play for the personal milestone of opposition batsmen. Before making such a statement Maxwell should have given due credit for our bowlers. Without the contribution of our bowlers batsmen like AB DeVillers and Maxwell would not have flourished. Without our bowlers they would not have achieved the milestone of winning three matches chasing the total of around 300.”

“Although it is surprising that Rohit is in good form but Maxwell is forgetting his consistency in being inconsistent. Same is the case with Shikhar Dhawan. The statistics and history are witness to the phenomenon that our bowlers have always helped the opposition batsmen for reaching personal milestones. Whenever we are playing abroad then this phenomenon becomes more prominent. Our bowlers are so dedicated for the opposition that in the start of their careers they show promise and bowl at speeds more than 145 kmph but slowly and steadily they lose it to be consistent around 130kmph. It is the other fast bowlers for countries like Pakistan, South Africa and Australia who keep the edge in their bowling intact and does not allow our batsmen to reach milestones. And if Maxwell is talking about loosing overseas then indeed we are maintaining that milestone.”
