Sushma Swaraj resigns, submits resignation to Arnab Goswami

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who is in the dock for helping scam-tainted former IPL chief Lalit Modi get his travel documents, resigned today following massive protest by Arnab Goswami on Times Now. The news channel carried day long breaking news and sought answers to burning questions regarding the ministers use of official capacity to help Lalit Modi.

A source close to Sushma Swaraj said, “Sushmaji was watching Times Now with her family when Arnab Goswami broke the news of her involvement in the facilitation of Lalit Modi’s tavel documents. She quietly watched it for some time and when she could take it no more she broke down. It was Arnab’s persistent questioning and her own inner voice which made her take this decision. She consulted senior party leaders and family members before taking the decision.”

Late last evening Sushma Swaraj tweeted that she was guilty of impropriety. She had taken oath of allegiance to the constitution of Arnab Goswami. The nation had elected her and as the nation wanted to know, she answered by submitting her resignation.

The minister also deviated from protocol and submitted her resignation directly to Arnab Goswami instead of PM Narendra Modi. It is not clear if Mr. Goswami had accepted her resignation.

Meanwhile, Congress party which was vociferously demanding Swaraj’s resignation, lauded Arnab Goswami for his efforts. Some Congress leaders were seen telling him ‘aur dikhao aur dikhao’.

Arnab Goswami was seen gloating over his achievement and patting his own back for what he called ‘Times Now Impact’. Many politicians had worried look on their faces when contacted by our reporter. Most of them wondering who would be Arnab’s next target.

It is not clear how Mr. Goswami got hold of the emails but that probably is the question which the ‘nation doesn’t want to know’.
