Reports of the actor being considered for the role made rounds on social media, however there was no official confirmation from Govt. authorities.

Aamir Khan spoke to Faking News reporter and shared his views on the latest news. “I urge Maharashtra Govt. to considered me for the role. Everyone knows that my crying spells are more reliable than monsoon. I am confident that I can single handedly tackle the water problem in the state.”

Sources say that Aamir was seen practicing for his role as brand ambassador and is also taking necessary precautions so that it does not end up as Incredible India fiasco.

“He has sent Kiran Rao on vacation. Daily he writes ‘India is tolerant’ 100 times in his notebook. In addition, he watches Saas-Bahu serials and sheds tears just to to prove his candidature. I mean he is a perfectionist. Yesterday he was watching Andaz Apna Apna and the room was flooded with his tears of joy,” said a source close to the actor.

Meanwhile, sources within the Govt. have refused to confirm Aamir’s appointment but said that he could be considered later on. “Aamir is a well known face. He has promised that he will shed tears regularly and help our farmers. And we have no doubt in his ability, but Fadanavis saheb has not confirmed his appointment yet,” said a source within the Maharashtra Govt.
