Bengaluru: An ex-employee of Kingfisher airlines, Mr Jaidev Kumar has decided to take up cricket as a profession after hearing that his ex-boss, Mr Vijay Mallaya pays cricketers handsome salaries and that too on time.

32 yrs old Jaidev, who has waited unsuccessfully for over 2 years for his pending dues from the now defunct airlines is confident that he can finally make Mallaya pay if he becomes a decent cricketer.

Speaking to Faking News from a cricket academy in Bengaluru, Jaidev said, “Well I saw Mr Mallaya bid huge sums of money for players during the IPL auction and got this idea. I checked with some people and heard that these cricketers do actually get paid unlike Kingfisher employees so I decided to try being a cricketer.”

“I have enrolled in this cricket academy which claims that they can get anyone into IPL within 3 years. They claim a higher success rate than some IIT coaching centers in Kota so I decided to join them. Hopefully I will be selected in the auction by Mr Mallaya and I can finally make him pay my salary. Even if I go to some other IPL team, I will try my hardest to beat RCB and make Mr Mallaya pay one way or the other.” Jaidev said confidently.

When we asked Jaidev whether he isn’t too old to try cricket as a career now, he said he didn’t think so and told us, “Boss age is just a number. Look at Pravin Tambe who has become an IPL star in his 40s. I am still very young comparatively. It is not like being the cabin crew of a private airline where they ground you at the first sign of a grey hair. I can have a long career in IPL.”

When asked what his options are if he doesn’t make it as a cricketer, Jaidev told us that he won’t give up his quest to get paid by Mr Mallaya. He mentioned that he will go for a sex change and try to become a model and feature in Kingfisher calendar.
