In a peculiar turn of events, the Pakistani cricket team has expressed desire to compete against the Indian women’s team in the hope that it would result in them probably getting defeated with a lesser margin. This has ensured jubilation amongst Pakistani cricket enthusiasts who are thrilled at the prospect of not again getting mowed down by Team India. The PCB is said to take a final decision after it gets the advice/diktat from their army chief regarding this move.
Pakistan trying their best to defeat Indian Women Cricket Team
We spoke to a PCB member for more information, “Well the Pakistani team was saddened after it recent mauling by Team India and was even threatening boycott. But it is of paramount importance that they play against India to ensure that the T20 world cup remains commercially viable hence we asked our team to play against the Indian women instead. Of course, we won’t win but we might just be able to reduce our margin of defeat. Though seeing our batting lineup it’s a tall task, our batsmen might ensure a draw in a match where our bowlers have restricted the opposition to zero runs. So now the Indian men would play against the Pakistani women, this ought to send shivers down their spine as they would prove to be a much tougher opponent”.
We even managed to speak to Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, “It’s a really positive move in our favor, some feminists might protest against it stating that this portrays that women are weaker to men but for us playing against the Pakistani men is a god sent as we couldn’t have asked for a weaker opponent. They are even easier than Oman or Hong Kong or some other countries we never realized played cricket. Plus them playing would ensure that some people would come to fill the ever empty spectator stands”.
A section of Pakistani team is protesting this move, stating that after the India New Zealand game they are better off playing against the men.
