The Office of Haryana Police has reportedly offered Hardik Pandya, the position of DSP, after his last over heroics in India’s World Cup match against Bangladesh.
The offer letter may be handed over to Hardik by Joginder Singh, who was offered a similar position after his last over contribution against Pakistan in 2007.

Getting inspired by this, Jasprit Bumrah and Ashish Nehra have requested to be allowed to bowl the last over in the next match so that they can also have a shot at becoming a DSP.
Meanwhile, a DSP recruitment drive scheduled for tomorrow in Haryana has been cancelled since all the candidates backed out at the last minute mentioning that they have instead enrolled for bowling lessons in Ranchi.
A senior Haryana Police official told us that while a dangerous precedent has been set, they are figuring out ways to put this to good use. “One of the options we have discussed is to form a separate wing of such DSPs, who will let thieves off the hook first, but finally come around to catch them at the last minute” he said.
