New Delhi. In shocking news just coming in, the apex body of Kingfisher birds has filed an affidavit in the Patiala House courts requesting a legal change in the name of their species. Talking to a Faking News reporter, Mr Kangla Kingfisher who is the head of JAKD (Justice And Kingfishers Denied) said that ever since Vijay Mallya had fled the country after declaring bankruptcy, their bird community had been facing a harrowing time.

“We can’t face the other birds in the forest. They laugh at us and sing “ola la la la leyo” in a mocking way. When we dive into a pond to catch fish, onlookers ask us to drown in Chullu bhar pani” complained Mr Kangla.
His brother, Bhagoda Kingfisher had an equally sad tale: “We were called anti-national and black ink was thrown on our already black faces. Our neighbour, the Grizzly Beer has stopped talking to us saying that we have spoilt his name in the Beeradri. We cant even fly openly because ex-employees of kingfisher airlines throw stones at us and ask for salary dues”.
“My younger son named Sid is refusing to attend school. As it is, my elder son named Rahul had stopped his studies after Rahul Gandhi entered politics”, wailed an elderly kingfisher. Sources also report that a group of protesting kingfishers were beaten up in the Patiala house court premises by a group of angry bats disguised as lawyers.
Meanwhile the government has claimed that there is something fishy in the Kingfisher’s name-change move and has ordered strict action against them. The CBI has raided multiple bird sanctuaries across the country and seized numerous kingfisher nests and eggs.
A defiant Kangla Kingfisher claims the government’s action won’t ruffle their feathers and have filed a million egg defamation suit against Vijay Mallya. Last heard, Mr Vijay Mallya has offered the affected Kingfisher community stock options in UB and jobs in Kingfisher Airlines as compensation
