New Delhi. FIFA bosses are watching the “Art of Living’s World Cultural Festival” closely. It’s learnt that they highly impressed by the extravaganza. They have taken note that the stage is as big as 10 Football fields and more than 35 Lacs of people have been accommodated in the place which looks like a stadium. What have the FIFA bosses been wondering more is that this is happening in only one city.
Qatar’s 2018 World cup organization committee has once again run into controversy. The Qatar committee had been accused of buying votes earlier. The new controversy relates to drunken football fans. With half a million foreign football fans as inflow to Qatar, hotels are on high pitch over booking.
However in Qatar, public drunkenness is prohibited, as is bringing alcohol to Qatar from abroad. FIFA is worried as it has become a custom for European and South American fans to have a binge and spat publicly. Qatar has promised to deal quickly and “very gently” with alcohol-consuming fans who break the law in a conservative Muslim state where public drunkenness is prohibited. FIFA still has some reservations.
The world football organization is taking a keen interest in India despite the rankings. 2017 Junior (U-17) Football World Cup has already been allotted to India. FIFA is not satisfied with preparedness of AIFF (Indian Football Federation). AIFF is in further trouble over funds as it’s Kingfisher has flown away and it’s Sahara is in jail.
FIFA will be approaching some Baba Ji in India to organize. Of course it will also be taking the services of some Mullah in Malda (of the famous football state Bengal) to pull in volunteers. Within an hour notice one lakh volunteers are handy any day.
Breaking- Two BabaJis have agreed in principle to chair the organizing committee. Both have however put conditions of title sponsorship of some Ayurveda company.
