Pune. Inspired by Vijay Mallya’s sudden exit from the country, Vijay Dubey, software engineer at Infosis has decided to follow his footsteps after Vijay realized that his EMIs, credit card bills and other debts are much more than what he earns.
Vijay was lured by growth and glamour of the IT industry in spite of being a mechanical engineer quite like Mallya who was lured by the Airline industry. He bought a car on loan the day he joined, seeing bright prospects in the company. He then went on to buy a house on EMI after his manager gave him hopes of an onsite trip to US. All was going well when suddenly Vijay realized that his current income was not enough to match his liabilities and decided to take a credit card. And that’s when things went terribly out of control. After trying to hang on to the onsite carrot for 5 years he realized it was a hoax and nothing but a falsely prophesied conspiracy theory by his manager. But the final nail in the coffin came last week when Vijay received a dismal (read decimal) hike. After several drinks he realized he had finally made it large, too large and decided to throw this royal challenge at the banks by leaving this country.
Vijay’s friend Rohan told Faking News how Vijay had championed the art of borrowing way back in college when he used to borrow money to sustain his basic needs like cigarette and alcohol. “He still hasn’t returned that money. I wish good luck to the banks.” he exclaimed. Vijay is planning to go to Greece, a country he hopes would understand his condition. When Faking News asked Vijay how would he afford the tickets, he smiled and flashed his platinum card.
