Hollywood: US Presidential candidate Donald Trump, at an election rally today, lashed out at Bollywood exports Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone for taking away jobs of American actresses looking to make it big in Hollywood.
Speaking to his supporters at Nevada rally he screamed, “These bollywood women are invading our country. I thought Baywatch was distinctively American. I was watching Pammy (Pamela Anderson ) the other day and got nostalgic. Just couldn’t control my tears. We need more American women in Hollywood. They (Priyanka and Deepika ) are taking our jobs away.”
“If I am elected the President, I promise 50% reservation for American women in Hollywood. Not just that, actors like Vin Diesel and Brad Pitt, who agree to work with bollywood will be taxed more,” he added as crowd chanted ‘Trump for President’.
Sources within Trump’s camp also revealed that several Republican supporters are planning a sit-down on interstate railway tracks to mark their protest.
Prominent Republican supporters called Vin Diesel anti-national for posing with Deepika Padukone. Dwayne The Rock Johnson was also trolled on twitter for his selfie with Priyanka Chopra.
There were a few feeble voices of support for Priyanka and Deepika from Trump crtics who dubbed his latest tirade as ‘lousy bunch of antics’. “Bollywood actors are welcome in Hollywood. Trump should stop this campaign of hatred,” said Sally Johnson, who is part of Dump the Trump campaign.
Trump supporters however are in no mood to listen. “You cannot dump Trump. If you do, a Trump will emerge from every house,” screamed a supporter.
