Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico may be talk of the town right now, but if sources are to be believed, what will make even bigger news is the debut of Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie in a hindi TV serial.
Get ready to see Angelina Jolie as part of Saas-Bahu serials
As per officials from Balaji Telefilms, Ekta Kapoor is doing all she can to get the Hollywood actress to be part of her new offering to viewers.
“Yes, we are planning to get Angelina Jolie on board for our new TV serial ‘Jolie ki Humjoli’. It will be nothing like we have offered before. Most of our serials have revolved around family relationship, more specifically around the saas-bahu equation. But our new offering will tell the story of an American girl who falls in love with an Indian man and relocates to India. How she adjusts to the Indian culture and the tensions between saas and bahu.”
“The new serial is slated to hit the TV screens sometime around Diwali and the shooting will commence once Angelina Jolie lands in India,” the source added.
Angelina’s manager confirmed the news and said that the Hollywood actress has already started preparing for her part. “She (Angelina) is a huge fan of Chicken Tikka Masala and so when she was offered the role, she immediately took up the offer. She has been rehearsing for quite some time for the part now. Even when she is home she is dressed in a sari with her face covered all the time. She also carries a bottle of glycerin with her all the time, just in case she needs to burst into tears.”
Apparently, husband Brad Pitt is not very pleased with these rehearsals. Online gossip magazine TMZ.com reported Brad confiding to a friend saying how his wife touches his feet evreytime he walks into the house.
“I don’t know what’s gotten into her; she keeps fighting with my mom for no reason, keeps crying all the time and has lost all interest in love making. I dunno what kinda TV shows they make in India, but it aint working for me man,” said Mr. Pitt while giving an interview to Hollywood Reporter.
