Yogi Adityanath to play Vin Diesel’s role in “Prachand Raftaar”, India’s version of Fast and Furious

Mumbai. Well known director of contemporary Indian cinema Anurag Cashyup is reportedly working on Indian version of Fast and Furious series called “Prachand Raftaar”. As part of the cast discussion, it was decided that five time MP from Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath will play Vin Diesel’s role Dominic “Dom” Toretto.

Sources say Yogi ji has wholeheartedly accepted the offer to play the role and is quite upbeat about the upcoming shooting season.

Our reporters had a brief catch up with the director Mr. Cashyup and here’s what he had to say about this venture.

"Vin Diesel from Fast & Furious, Yogi Adityanath for Prachand Raftaar."

“Vin Diesel from Fast & Furious, Yogi Adityanath for Prachand Raftaar.”

“As you are aware, India has now become a fan of Fast and Furious. Especially, after the movie was aired for free on Star Movies. Looking at the enthusiasm of people, their ability to follow a series of movies I have decided to launch an Indian version of Fast and Furious which will be called ‘Pranchad Raftaar’.  I spoke to Yogi ji about my idea and told him the story. He got interested as soon as I told him the story and gave me an energetic ‘yes’ at the end of it. I thought Yogi ji was a perfect fit for this role as has a strong resemblance to Vin Diesel, a large fan following and a special reach to the corners of villages. With his acceptance of the role, we are expecting grand promotions and are dead sure that this series will be a blockbuster.”

We spoke to Yogi ji at his residence who appeared quite happy as he said, “Hamay is mauke par bahut khushi ho rahi hai, hum Diesel bhai ke prashansak rahe hain and aur yah chahte hain ki ‘Prachand Raftaar’ dekh kar usi raftaar se sab log apne apne ghar wapis jaaye.”

On the other side, secular forces are in a state of worry that Bollywood is in a danger of becoming communal due to Yogi’s entry while the right wing groups are rejoicing with his entry into Bollywood.
