Delhi Police to question Shashi Tharoor on Twitter for prompt answers

New Delhi. In a first of its kind interrogation, Delhi Police has decided to question Congress MP Shashi Tharoor over his wife Sunanda Tharoor’s murder on Twitter.

Just like many journalists on twitter throw questions at random politicians and conduct interviews, Delhi Police would put forward the questions they have in mind through their official twitter handle by tagging Tharoor’s handle.

The Special Investigating Team (SIT) feels going by Tharoor’s presence and conduct on Twitter, he would be more prompt, precise and maybe even honest while answering those questions.

“We fear he may try to evade us when called for questioning face to face. But on twitter, he would be more forthcoming,” the SIT chief explained the logic behind Twitter interrogation.

“Also he is perpetually active on Twitter. So we may not even have to fix up any particular time for interview. We are sure we will get replies even if we throw some questions to him 3 o’clock in the night,” he further added.

The police commissioner of Delhi BS Bassi too lauded SIT for this innovative method of questioning.

“Our SIT has been observing Thaoor for last few days. As per them, nothing seems to lighten him up more than accessing twitter and being on it. His enthusiasm knows no bounds when he is online. So I am sure he would be more comfortable answering questions there,” BS Bassi told Faking News.

The SIT further expects him to be overly cooperative while answering even tough questions on Twitter.

“We have seen many a times how out of his way he goes to reply to questions on Twitter. Even if he tries, he is not able to ignore any question or allegation that is normally made on him on Twitter. He invariably considers it as his obligation to reply to all of them,” pointed an SIT official.

“We may not even have to resort to any third degree as his Twitter addiction would be more than enough,” he added.

Meanwhile both Arnab Goswami and Subramanian Swamy have extended unsolicited help to Delhi Police if they face any difficulties in asking tough questions to Tharoor.
