New Delhi. After the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee wondered if terrorists were coming from heaven if not from Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has come up with an explanation.
Pak government, in an official press release, has claimed that terrorists were being produced by a tree that grows around the LoC (Line of Control) in Jammu & Kashmir.
Pakistan is not responsible for them
“There is this Terror Tree that produces terrorists along with arms and ammunitions. It grows along with LoC and those terrorists walk into Kashmir once they fall from the tree. Most of such trees are in deep forests, and we don’t have any control over them,” the government of Pakistan said, introducing a new “non state actor”.
Exclusive but alleged pictures of the tree were flashed on every Indian TV news channels, which led to main opposition BJP calling for cutting down all the jehadi trees in the region. The demand by BJP came under criticism by many activists who termed it detrimental to the environment.
“Let’s not get carried away with jingoism. Fortunately we have found the tree, now let’s find the root cause of terrorism,” an activist proposed.
The response by the Government of India came late. A statement by the Defense Minister AK Antony appeared to have accepted the Pakistani theory where the minister expressed concern over terrorists dressed up like trees.
The statement was blasted by many strategic experts as it virtually gave clean chit to Pakistani establishment. This led the government of India change its stand within minutes without Rahul Gandhi calling it “complete nonsense”.
As part of the damage control mission, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh appeared on TV and criticized Pakistan for this bizarre revelation. He condemned it in strong words and said that “terrorists don’t grow on trees.”
While the government has expressed in no uncertain terms that it didn’t believe the words or actions of the Pakistani establishment, government sources confirmed to Faking News that the bilateral talks will continue.
On the other hand, in Pakistan, philanthropist and peace activist Hafiz Saeed has called for a green revolution in Pakistan where such trees are planted all over the country.
