With several players in form, RCB worried that they may end up winning IPL

Bengaluru: Management of one of the most entertaining IPL sides, Royal Challengers Bangalore, is really worried these days. After 8 years of successfully avoiding IPL title despite having some of the best T20 players, there is a real danger of them lifting the trophy this year.

“We always faced great challenges but somehow managed to avoid the IPL title through a combination of talent, hard work and the South Africans in the squad. However, this year most of our players appear in very good nick and there is no CSK to beat us at the sharp end of the tournament. Even Mallya isn’t involved at all this year so players will not be worried about their salaries, that will also improving their performance. This has really got us worried that we may be crowned champions”, a member of RCB backroom staff told Faking News on the condition of anonymity.

Along with the Number 1 batsman in T20 Virat Kohli, they have the most explosive batsman in the world in Chris Gayle and Matrix’s Neo, AB de Villiers. They have also added Shane Watson to the squad who was in brilliant form with the bat and ball during the World T20. The best bowler on show in World T20, Samuel Badree is also an RCB player. Luckily for them, he may miss the start of the tournament due to a shoulder injury.

“Yes Badree may miss first couple of games due to his injury but he will be back soon. Luckily Starc is missing the entire tournament else we would have been left with no option but to lift the title”, confided an RCB official.

However, the bench strength of RCB is pretty impressive too with one of the stars of BBL Travis Head joined by fast bowler Adam Milne, Kane Richardson and the master of coin, Darren Sammy. Along with exciting Indian talents like Sarfaraz Khan, Mandeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal and Iqbal Abdullah, RCB will have to work extremely hard to avoid a victory this season.

When asked about the chances of RCB this year, a senior Cricket expert said, “They have a great squad so they will struggle to lose. Forget just the players and the coaches, even their water boy is the experienced Stuart Binny!”
