United Kingdom: If the results of Bihar elections were not enough for the British media to target PM Narendra Modi, latest Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has also been picked up by the media in UK to train their guns.
On the eve of PM’s visit to UK, MEA decided to screen PRDP for the Royal Family, especially for Queen Elizabeth. But things did not turn out as expected and the effort by the MEA was seen as mocking ‘her highness’.
A spokesperson for the royal family spoke to Faking News and said, “Its true that the Queen watched the movie and the references were pretty obvious. Sonam Kapoor plays the part of a queen similar to her highness. But the depiction has been to a great extent off target. Our queen is a better dancer and has better expressions. We would like to bring this to the notice of Indian authorities and expect a reply before the Indian PM official visit to the country.”
It’s not only the reference to the queen that the media is not happy about. The length of the movie has also been criticized for having accelerating the queens natural aging process. “When she started watching the move, she looked younger. But after 3 hours, there visibly more wrinkles on her face. Clearly the Indian PM will have to answer a few questions when he visits UK,” said a news anchor.
