New Delhi: In what is believed to be a stunner, PM Modi has reportedly cancelled all his upcoming foreign visits as he had already watched all the movies on the in-flight entertainment system and no new movies were being added since his Bangladesh visit last month.
Speaking to Faking News, the airline’s chief of staff said, “It is with deep regret that we informed PM of our failure to update movies in the flight system. Actually, the reason behind not updating is the lack of good movies these days which he agreed to certain extent but was pissed off watching the same movies over and over again since last few visits – internal and external.”
Modi’s aides argue that with FTII embroiled in controversy, it has become all the more important for PM to fine tune his knowledge on movies before he can remain quiet speak on that issue as well. And his busy schedule doesn’t leave him with enough time to watch these films, so Air-India’s in-flight entertainment system is his last hope.
Modi has now spoken to the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan saying he is still working on movies to watch on flight to these countries and the dates will be postponed accordingly.
Meanwhile, the anti-Modi brigade has gone wild with the prime minister’s postponement of visits and alleged that postponement could significantly hit #MakeInIndia campaign and loosen the ties with these countries. However, none of them were available for a comment after being questioned on UPA’s relations with these countries during the last two terms.
Air-India is believed to have taken drastic steps to ensure all latest movies are available on “in-flight entertainment system” and even included pirated version of those movies whose official DVD versions are yet to be released.
Sources say, the airline staff will review the final list of movies tomorrow with the PM. Based on the PM’s nod, PMO will start working on updated itinerary for bilateral visits to Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
