Mumbai: In a sensational law-defying development, banned cricket enthusiasts Raj Kundra and Gurunath Meiyappan have reportedly started ‘Indian Book Cricket League’ a day after they were pronounced guilty of betting in the Indian Premier League.

Speaking to Faking News, a happy looking Meiyappan said, “Yesterday the court has banned Raj and me from future cricket involvement but did not mention ‘book cricket’ in it. This idea struck my mind as soon as the judgement was out and I called Kundra for a night out at my home for combined study of book cricket and the exciting business opportunities it can offer. We chalked out a plan and here we are with book-cricket’s blue print.”
The rules of book cricket league are going to be the same as they used to be in schools and colleges. Quick opening of the book, last digit of page numbers of the left pages, pen, and paper for noting the scores are some of the familiar rules included in the game.
Instead of stadiums, IBCL will be played in carromboard club like places in Mumbai to start with.
Experts predict these clubs could grow to become huge book-cricket casinos in future while school students have started forming inter-school leagues after hearing about IBCL.
As per our reliable sources, the duo has already started ordering books with biased page numbers in Andheri book-printing market. This news is not yet public as we might have to wait for the events to occur, SITs to form, charge-sheets to be filed and judgement to be announced in future.
