New Delhi: A visibly angry Sonia Gandhi lashed out at Smriti Irani for saying that the Gandhi family is not used to working in the sun.

Addressing the media outside her residence she said, “How can Smriti Irani say that we are not used to working in the sun. I will prove that we too have worked hard to reach where we are today. Through the media I would like to tell the nation that for one week I,Rahul and Robert are going to working in the field for the entire day, just like a farmer. Maybe, then it with shut the mouths of people who always taunt us for getting everything easy.”
No sooner Sonia Gandhi made the announcement, Robert Vadra left for his mother-in-laws residence. If sources are to be believed, a shocked Robert asked Sonia Gandhi if she was serious.

Rahul Gandhi too couldn’t believe what he heard. “I can stay with a farmer, eat with a farmer but how can you expect me to work like a farmer. Elections are in 2019, why we have to do this now?” he questioned.
Senior Congress leaders too were of the opinion that Sonia Gandhi should reconsider her decision to work in the field. Sonia Gandhi however refused to relent. As per sources in the Congress party, she has already started working in the field and also dragged Rahul and Robert.
Ruling party BJP was quick to comment. “They call our efforts theatrics. What are they doing now?” asked a spokesperson.
