San Francisco: Facebook malware which till yesterday affected more than 11k users, has one more casualty and its none other than Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Figuratively speaking, the Facebook chief was caught with his pants down by his wife after she returned from a vacation to Hawaii.

According to sources, Priscilla Chan was on a holiday with her family while Mark was ‘working’ on some projects at his home in Silicon Valley. Priscilla wanted to surprise him and returned a day earlier only to get a rude surprise herself. She was livid when she saw Mark checking out some videos that were pornographic in nature. When confronted, a red faced Mark Zuckerberg blamed it on a malware that affected Facebook and Twitter users. Though things seem to have calmed down between the couple, Mark is not taking any chances and has asked his tech team to look into the matter and plug all loopholes in FB’s security. It’s not just the loopholes that Mark Zuckerberg is worried about. The malware has generated lot of bad press especially with Indian media. One Hindi news channel was seen carrying special report on this titled ‘Ashleelta ka Saudagar Mark Zuckerberg‘.
Mr Zuckerberg may have been unlucky, but many internet users who were actually watching porn when they were caught by their spouse, chose to conveniently blame it on the malware. Atul Khanna (name changed to protect identity), was one such internet user. He said, “At times I do watch porn but my wife doesn’t know about it. I do take all precautions like using the incognito window of web browser, setting the volume to mute and so on. However, on that particular day I forgot to lock the door and she walked it. The only explanation I could give was that it was a malware. It saved my marriage.”
Facebook may not be directly involved in promoting pornography but clearly it has to answer many questions. Many internet users were in a soup because of the malware issue. Some were accessing FB at work when they faced this issue and users had to go through the painful process of changing their account passwords, removing unwanted apps, and marking unknown links as spam.If Facebook is looking to be video only site by 2017 it has to address this issue on priority else it would end up being just another adult website.
