Bangalore. Scared that after Sushma Swaraj and Vasudhara Raje Scindia, more BJP leaders could get bad press due to association with Lalit Modi, at least two BJP MLAs from Karnataka were seen removing Lalit Modi from their Facebook friend list.
The action of these MLAs was caught by camera installed in the Karnataka assembly. Earlier the same camera had caught them watching porn in the assembly.
“Yes, I thought better safe than sorry,” conceded an MLA when this Faking News reporter confronted him, “I am not the best buddies with Lalit, but we have chatted a few times during his IPL days. We used to exchange photos of cheerleaders.”
Many other BJP leaders too are scared that Lalit Modi could just leak anything about them to media, just as he leaked Vaundhara Raje’s letter, and throw them before an angry Arnab Goswami.
“I have deleted all my tweets to him,” a Delhi based leader confirmed, “But that fuc*er might be having screenshots. He has proved to be a bigger troll than all those I’ve blocked or followed.”
While politicians are scared of whose name Lalit Modi could take in whatever role, advertisers and TV companies are upset that this whole drama did not unfold during IPL earlier this year.
“We had a largely controversy free IPL this season, which is not good for the brand,” an advertiser who is also a member of BCCI and a shareholder of an IPL team, with no conflict of interest issues raised yet, told Faking News.
