“Any more bills to pass for Bharat Nirman?” BJP asks Congress

New Delhi. After helping with passage of Food Security Bill and Land Acquisition Bill in the Parliament, main opposition BJP has asked the ruling Congress if there were any more bills that needed to be passed.

Co-produced by BJP?

“We saw a couple of Bharat Nirman TV ads that showed the benefits of Food Security Bill and Land Acquisition Bill; we felt really good,” said Sushma Swaraj, leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, “We want to see more such examples of our efforts being showcased on the national TV.”

Meelon hum aa gaye, meelon humein jaana hai (we have traveled miles, and miles we have to travel),” Ms. Swaraj explained her party’s strategy vis-à-vis Congress’ plans.

Arun Jaitley, leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha too confirmed that BJP was all geared up to pass more bills so that more Bharat Nirman ads can be produced and given to news organizations struggling with profitability.

Political pundits are struggling to analyze this shift in BJP’s parliamentary strategy.

“Maybe they got bored of opposing every damn thing,” a political expert told Faking News, “Or maybe they think that too many Bharat Nirman ads will have a similar impact on UPA in 2014 as too many India Shining ads had on NDA in 2004.”
