New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to field WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Gujarat.
Actual seat has not been decided yet as AAP is waiting for Narendra Modi to announce his 2nd seat from Gujarat, where Assange will be challenger from the party.
AAP has already decided to field Kejriwal from Varanasi against Narendra Modi (Ok we are not sure on this one. Maybe they decided, maybe they didn’t decide, maybe there will be a poll to ask people should Kejriwal go to polls. It’s a bit complicated) and wants to field another strong candidate against Modi from Gujarat.
When we asked how they zeroed in on Assange’s name, senior party leader Ashutosh said, “Wikipedia (sic.) recently clarified that Assange didn’t call Modi incorruptible (spelling corrected). That makes him a worthier candidate than most of the guys we have fielded. If we can give tickets to people tweeting ‘NaMo for PM’ then this is a very simple choice in comparison.”
When asked if the party had discussed the proposal with Assange, Ashutosh said that he was confident of WikiLeaks founder accepting the proposal as everyone is with AAP by default.
“If he refuses, we will know that Ambani bought Wiki last night on Modi’s orders,” Ashutosh added when this reporter persisted.
As per Faking News sources, AAP has already formed an Internal Lokpal to give Assange a clean chit in all the cases he faces in Sweden.
Further, London wing of AAP is planning to stage a dharna outside Buckingham Palace to force Queen Elizabeth to allow Assange free passage to leave for India.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that several party members are not happy with this move to bring in someone like Assange.
“Boss, we can’t prevent leaks from channels like Aaj Tak, how will we stop our internal emails from leaking if we ourselves let serial leaker Assange in? He may embarrass us a lot if he leaves like most of our founding members,” said an AAP member on the condition of anonymity.
