News Delhi. Even as government is reportedly examining demand to strip Saif Ali Khan of Padma Award following a Mumbai court framing charges against him, sources tell Faking News that Saif may be offered Rajya Sabha MP seat to compensate for the loss.

Sources reveal that the decision to compensate Saif is driven is a preemptive measure to neutralize possible attack by opposition parties like Congress and Samajwadi Party, which may claim that Saif was being targeted for being a Muslim.
“While a Padma Shri with criminal charges might sound improper, criminal charges against an MP is such a routine thing” a source explained.
However, the government sources reject such rumors.
“He is being awarded for his contributions and capabilities,” an official in Home Ministry said, “In his latest movie Humshakals, he played role of both male and female characters. This assures that he is capable to understand and raise problems specific to both sexes.”
“He will be more useful as an MP rather than as a Padma Awardee,” the official explained.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is reportedly looking for “terms and conditions” that came with the Award and looking for the “no return” clause in them.
“Wow!” he said, when Faking News informed him that he will be made an MP in return.
