New Delhi. A day after infamous Lok Sabha blackout, Rajya Sabha MPs demanded a similar blackout for themselves on grounds of right to equality.
“Why should Lok Sabha MPs have all the fun? Why such a step brotherly treatment to us? Aakhir hum bhi kisi ke bachhe hain,” yelled one of the MPs protesting inside the Parliament.
“There should be no discrimination in quality of opportunity in matters of employment,” he added, quoting one of the fundamental rights.
Reportedly, it all started when Lok Sabha MPs shared in the parliament canteen what they did when Lok Sabha cameras were shut off.
“They made up their mind to demand for black out in canteen itself,” revealed Chhotu, a canteen staff.
Sources tell Faking News that Rajya Sabha MPs don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to become “ghanta” inside the temple of democracy.
MPs say that they have always fantasized to do things that are not caught on camera.
“No, no, it’s not what you are thinking,” Mr. Singhvi, another MP said, “I mean, we too want to enjoy. People think Rajya Sabha is boring!”
MPs say that they want to do stuff like drinking and dancing inside the Parliament, while some want to enter Parliament riding on a horse.
A delegation of such MPs under the leadership of Rajya Sabha MP and party animal Vijay Mallya has submitted a memorandum to Rajya Sabha chairman demanding a blackout.
